Our History
Alpha Delta Pi was founded as the first secret society for women in 1851 at Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia. The University of Northern Iowa's chapter was founded in 1967. Our sorority is committed to high academic standards, social responsibility, sisterhood, values, and ethics.
Our Vision
As a chapter, we strive to build and foster empowered, well-rounded, and impactful women, cultivating a supportive space in which you are accepted as you are but challenged to grow.
Our Values
Our main symbol is the diamond. We use the diamond to represent the 4 main values of our sorority, in other words, the 4 points of the diamond. Our 4 main values are self, scholarship, sisterhood, and sorority!
Our Motto
Alpha Delta Pi's open motto is "We Live For Each Other". This saying is more than just 5 words, it represents the unconditional love and support we hold for one another.
